Successful German Mill Day at the Boitzenburg Monastery Mill

On Whit Monday, we were delighted to welcome numerous visitors to German Mill Day at the Monastery Mill and in the KLOSTERPARK Boitzenburg, under perfect weather conditions. With mill tours, a family program, a flea market, regional stalls, and plenty of culinary offerings, the historic mill once again became a lively gathering place for young and old alike.

The guided tours of the mill, in particular, drew a great deal of interest and offered fascinating insights into the traditional craft of milling. The performance by the “Mühlengeister Boitzenburg” also delighted many guests.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our monastery miller, Martin Joost, who took on the organization of the day with great dedication, as well as to all the volunteers, exhibitors, and supporters who made this successful Mill Day possible.

But the day wasn’t just a festive occasion: thanks to the numerous visitors, donations were also collected for projects in our region. The proceeds will benefit the “Mühlengeister” theater group from Boitzenburg as well as the “Buller-Bü” k in Haßleben and the “Zwergenstübchen” daycare center in Hardenbeck. This supports both local cultural offerings and the important work with children in the region.

The Nordkurier was also on site and reported on the event.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our guests and look forward to more festivals and events at KLOSTERPARK Boitzenburg.
