German Mill Day 2024

Over 650 mills throughout Germany have opened their doors, including, of course, the 250-year-old monastery mill in Boitzenburg.

Fantastic scenery, fantastic spring weather, a great and relaxed atmosphere: around 1,500 people found their way to Boitzenburg Abbey Mill on Whit Monday as part of German Mill Day 2024! In addition to free guided tours of the mill, a blacksmith also showed off his skills, people could try archery or let soap bubbles fly, enjoy culinary delights at the many food stalls or be enchanted by the fairy tales of the local theatre group ‘Mühlengeister’. The UMBRUCH Gruppe was also on site with a whole series of posters on the planning status of the Klosterschänke. A big thank you to the many volunteers from the Boitzenburg region who made the mill festival a great success once again this year!
